  • Cover letters still matter. They were a differentiator for him on several occassions.
  • Stalk a company. More and more advice says to target a company then break into the social networks (online and in-person) that surround it.
  • Expired job posts are frustrating. Useful job alerts are hard to come by.
  • Constantly filling out forms and applications seems outdated and annoying in a Web 2.0 world, especially when navigating from LinkedIn or a job board that has all that data.
