A growing mid-western bank is hiring and looking to increase Atlanta, GA jobs in finance. Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bank is expanding in the south, especially in Georgia after its 2008 acquisition of First Horizon, said the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Fifth Third’s is adding staff at its 20 banking centers in and around Atlanta and especially at its mini-branches inside Kroger supermarkets.
Fifth Third is hiring personal retail bankers, commercial underwriters, financial center managers, business development officers, wealth management advisers and investment executives, according to the companies posted job openings. From the ABC article:
The new year will see Fifth Third add 19 branches inside metro-area Kroger grocery stores to its existing complement of 11 supermarket banking centers and nine stand-alone branches. The bank plans to open three to five stand-alone branches through 2011. In the second quarter of this year, Fifth Third will also open a branch in the former headquarters of the failed American Southern Bank in Kennesaw.
